Michigan suspends defensive position coach Greg Scruggs following drunk driving arrest


Michigan defensive position coach Greg Scruggs has been suspended indefinitely whereas the soccer program and athletic division assessment particulars of his arrest for suspected drunk driving.

Wolverines coach Sherrone Moore mentioned Scruggs made “an unlucky mistake” in a press release Saturday, about 12 hours after the newly employed assistant was arrested.

“He made no excuses and has taken accountability for his actions,” Moore mentioned.

The 33-year-old Scruggs was arrested for working a automobile whereas intoxicated at 3 a.m. Saturday, in accordance with Ann Arbor police.
