NASCAR Truck Sequence driver Layne Riggs dislocates shoulder celebrating win


Layne Riggs bought just a little greater than he bargained for on Sunday when he gained the primary NASCAR Craftsman Truck Sequence race of his profession on the Milwaukee Mile.

Riggs beat out Ty Majeski, Christian Eckes, Nick Sanchez and Taylor Grey for the highest spot.

As Riggs pumped his proper fist in celebration close to the start-finish line whereas standing on the highest of his automobile, he appeared to injure himself. Riggs mentioned he dislocated his shoulder. Riggs was helped off of the truck, after which his staff popped his shoulder again into place.

“I dislocated my shoulder. I used to be celebrating so arduous. It hurts like a mug however hey, it was value it,” he mentioned after the race. “It’s not the primary time it’s occurred to me, however it ain’t gonna gradual me down.”

The 22-year-old North Carolina native is the son of former NASCAR driver Scott Riggs. He began driving within the Truck Sequence in 2022. He had seven high 10 finishes earlier than Sunday’s win.
