Al-Amir Dawes, Seton Corridor rout UNLV to succeed in NIT semifinals

The three Huge East groups within the Candy 16 of the NCAA Match are doing their half to point out how egregious the convention’s snubs have been — and Seton Corridor is holding up its finish within the NIT.

The Pirates rolled for the second straight recreation, posting a 91-68 beatdown of UNLV at Walsh Gymnasium on Wednesday to succeed in the semifinals. 

It comes after Seton Corridor cruised previous North Texas, 72-58, within the second spherical.

Coach Shaheen Holloway’s crew will face Georgia at Hinkle Fieldhouse within the semis on April 2 in Indianapolis.

Seton Corridor (23-12) had 5 gamers in double figures, constructed a 44-26 lead on the break — capped by a Dylan Addae-Wusu slam — and by no means seemed again.

Al-Amir Dawes led the Pirates with 21 factors, six rebounds and three assists and Kadary Richmond posted 16 factors, 10 rebounds and 4 rebounds. 

Dre Davis has 14 factors and 7 rebounds, Addae-Wusu had 12 factors and Jaden Bediako chipped in 11.

Seton Corridor shot a torrid 51.6 p.c from the sphere and compelled 13 Runnin’ Rebels turnovers.

Kalib Boone paced UNLV (21-15) with 16 factors and 5 rebounds.

The Pirates, together with St. John’s and Windfall many believed have been snubbed from the NCAA Match after 5 bid-stealers took at-large bids away.

Seton Corridor is now two wins away from profiting from its state of affairs and ending with a championship.  

Indiana State — one other NCAA snub — awaits the winner of VCU and Utah within the different semifinal.
