Mikaela Shiffrin has abrasion after crash in World Cup large slalom

Mikaela Shiffrin suffered an abrasion close to her hip and stated there was “probably not an excessive amount of trigger for concern” after crashing at an Alpine snowboarding World Cup large slalom in Killington, Vermont, on Saturday.

In a video posted about three hours after the crash, Shiffrin confirmed the abrasion being handled. She stated, “It appears like all scans thus far are clear.”

“Wishing the very best of luck to my teammates tomorrow!!” Shiffrin posted, referencing a World Cup slalom in Killington scheduled for Sunday. “I’ll be cheering from the sidelines on this one.”
